I'd like to remind everyone that despite the [taps] recent difficulties some of our healers have had, myself included, the Wellspring clinic is more than capable of assisting the sick and injured. We've a number of very talented healers even without powers.

I'd also like to thank whoever suggested my name as a nomination for judgeship, but I'm afraid I had to turn it down. I'm not qualified for such a position. I do encourage everyone to vote when they can; we're all here together, so we should make our wishes known.

Justice, Toushi, I'm going shopping after my shift today, so please let me know if there's anything you'd like me to stock up on in the kitchen.

[ooc: forgot to add that someone can claim the nominated-her slot if they want, otherwise it's an NPC.]

What in the world are these furry things everyone's talking about? KC left one in my shoe, but it isn't [brief pause as she considers what wording to use] intact enough to examine. I threw it off a branch.

It was a sweet gesture, though. He just wanting to bring dinner to his mommy. I gave him extra kibble as a reward.

Most people consider this issue with understanding one another a trick of the sphere, but I don't believe it is wise to be complacent about it. What happens to one journal happens to all of them. Is it possible that something went wrong in the manufacture of some of the latest journals to be made? I know that wouldn't affect our speech, but I don't like sitting and waiting for things to change.]

I want to pass on a warning--hopefully it's nothing serious, but one of the tree's large squirrels has been sighted roaming the residential areas, apparently looking for food. I caught a glimpse of it in Section 3, and one of today's patients from Section 4 reported a sighting as well. I'm not sure about the other areas. The patient was in for unrelated issues; the squirrel hasn't shown any aggression so far, but it's best to be cautious.

Those who have pets might want to make extra-sure they don't get outside. KC saw it through the window and he must have thought it was some kind of giant cat, there to challenge his domain. He puffed up so much he looked like a giant furry orange.

Whatever sort of game is going on down in the Wilderness seems awfully hazardous, judging by the patients we're seeing at Medical. Perhaps people should consider helmets.

Chosen, are you taking special commissions now that you run the tailor shop?

I think I liked the music better the last time. It was pretty, and at least well-composed. The latest pieces are...I don't know. Apparently someone cares about bleaching stains out of their laundry a great deal. And the other one is creepy.

Crowds seem to help, since everyone's music gets mixed up. That increases the risk of headache, but nothing's perfect. At least we have remedies for that at Medical.

[ooc: This time aorund, Kazahana's hearing a medley of songs from Rock Musical Bleach, specifically the overtureKaien no Omoide in which she sings about her memories of Kaien, and how she killed him. Ping-y lyrics in both songs are muted so she can't understand them.]

It appears that whoever or whatever is the cause of the strange events around here has gotten bored. Judging by the last few pages of my journal, this musical interlude is receiving mixed opinions, but so far I like it. I keep hearing the prettiest music. I'm very curious about what's playing for the rest of you.

It is pretty loud in the marketplace, though. It might be worth investing in earplugs until this passes. But it's better than clanking around in that armor the other day was.

[OOC: In the absence of any specific events that change the soundtrack, Kazahana's got a medley of instrumental Vienna Teng and Four Tet]

I'm not coming outside today. I look stupid in this dress.

And the neckline is practically indecent.

[OOC: Strikes = crossed over a couple times but legible if you try.]

Truth, you can be proud of the fact that the pants you gave me made a noble sacrifice. Though I'm not sure how impressed the trouser gnome was, considering he only gave me a ball of twine in return. I put it in Medical's supply closet if anyone wants it.

Thanks for the detailed reconaissance efforts, Bastet. If it hadn't been for you, I might have carried the pants and made a long, silly trip for nothing.

So, this map thing, the one with the "trouser gnome"...if one were interested in following the instructions out of curiosity, what should she do if she has no pants?

It's a fair question.

This probably seems like a strange question, but did anyone else in Section Three or elsewhere experience unusual weather this morning?

It's just that I woke up a few minutes ago and it seems to have snowed. Indoors.

[OOC: Her sword is acting up, but she doesn't know that. She, Kiba and Memory are the only ones afflicted.]

Since we're back in the tree and somehow forced into pajamas, remember that the marketplace is back open as well. There are a couple of stalls selling slippers since some people's shoes seem to have gone as well. I like mine. Pants and a shirt are still easy to move around in and they're cute, too. I hope I can keep them.

I'm no longer in search of a memory crystal; thank you, those who offered help. And thank you, Bastet. I just hope this tells me what I want to know. I'm saving it until we get things fixed up here.

As Cross has said, the temporary clinic is now operational in the Wilderness. Any Medical staff who are still evacuating, please make your way here as soon as you can; we need to meet to re-plan shifts due to the emergency. No one should be hurt by the ants as long as people don't act like fools, but that's no guarantee.

[Insert hand-drawn map of where in the bed store Temporary Medical can be found]

Kiba, let me know when you're here--I brought a few of your things from home in case you didn't have the chance, and I've found something wonderful.

Hakuteiken...be careful.

Truth--exercise caution while moving the cocoons down. I hear they have a tendency to hatch on top of people in the elevator.

In case anyone's keeping a running tally of who's who now, I'm still myself. Though I may be coming down with something; I've felt a little feverish since yesterday, so I won't be coming to Medical today. Let me know if that's a problem, Justice.

Is my hair longer...?

[OOC: Kazahana has become Hisana, who looks pretty much exactly the same but was rather sickly.]

Goodness. You wouldn't think a little singing would cause so many problems, but as poetic as lyrics can be, they make straightforward communication difficult. Perhaps that's why some people have been so bold since this began. Quite unsettling.

I'd like to apologize to the other employees of Medical Island. I didn't mean to skip my shift today, but I went for a walk in the Wilderness this morning, and it took much longer than I expected. Like an idiotic child's game. I'll work extra long tomorrow to make up for it.

Toushi, thank you for the sandwich. It was delicious.

Kiba-I left something for you at temporary housing. Since I don't know what you look like yet, I spoke with one of the guards and she said she'd drop it off with your things.

[OOC: Yes, Kazahana fails at Candyland. She picked up some ginger candy while she was there to make up for being a bitch to Kiba over the journals.]

The unicorns and their habit of fainting and bleeding may be annoying, but I like this latest satorial development. I've beenlucky so far; I've just been left with rather fancy dresses. They may take longer to properly put on, and I'm definitely overdressed for work...but it could be worse. Bastet, you should consider selling versions of them in your clothing stall; I'm sure they would be popular.

Kiba, is your stomachache better? Really, it's not a problem for you to come to Medical Island if you need to.

It's hard for me to spend much time at home these days without making the unicorns pass out, so I think I'm going to do some exploring. (And some shopping at Housekeeping HQ; bloodstains on the floor are difficult to remove.) To the aquarium, maybe, or the park as long as the weather remains fine.

[OOC: Kazahana has been left with the wardrobe of Yuko from xxxHolic; a friend of mine drew this picture of her for reference, but she may also be spotted in outfits like this, this and this!]

There are all these delightful unicorns about today! How lovely. They really are beautiful creatures. I hadn't thought that unicorns existed, but I suppose anything's possible here.

Except...they seem to have chosen people to follow, and none have chosen me. Does anyone know the criteria? Maybe I could lure one with a carrot, if unicorns eat the same things as horses. I'd rather like to have a unicorn.
