It's come to my attention that with the recent disorganization in Edensphere, all the new arrivals may have extra trouble acclimating. Aside from learning where everything is, I think it's important to know who people are. Certainly people are capable of meeting new people on their own, but there are other considerations--for instance, if you find yourself in need of a guard but you don't know who they are, that's a problem.
Since we sometimes have downtime here at Wellspring, I decided to make a visual guide to certain people and groups in the sphere. I decided to start with the medical clinic since most people will be sick or injured at some point, and it's good to foster bonds between doctors and patients. But I hope to add more later.
( Non-IC cut to save your flists )
I hope this is helpful and lets you recognize your friendly sphere medics. And the rest of them, too.
[ooc: Feel free to pretend the NPC medics are here, too, but PC bunnies take enough time as it is.]

To anyone still able to read their journals, this is Kazahana. Medical Island was damaged by the firestorm, but the clinic is still standing, we have supplies remaining, and there are [brief pause] surviving medics. We're treating everyone here, but there are undoubtedly other victims who need our help.
I'm asking anyone with any kind of medical skill or training to get here as fast as possible. We need all the help we can get. Those of you without training who are well enough to move, please help bring the injured here--with as few resources as we have now, we have to make this a central point of treatment.
I don't know where Cross and Lezard are, so for the moment, I'm taking charge of Medical. If you're coming here to volunteer your help, come to me right away. For the truly critically injured, also bring them to me immediately so I can try to heal them enough to stabilize, and Will after. From there on we'll just have to see.
This is secondary in importance, but it still needs to be done. If you can write, please check in here, letting us know you're still alive...and if you've witnessed deaths, we need to know that, too, so people know who to look for.
Thank you for all your help.

Since the Wilderness transformed into a nude beach, a number of you have taken advantage of its weather, which is warmer than most days up here in the tree. That's absolutely fine; you're all free to do as you will. But if you do go, please consider taking sunscreen with you. A number of people have gotten unexpected sunburns in places that don't usually see the light of day. At Medical Island, we have a number of topical creams that are soothing to burned skin, and if it's a really bad burn, the healers on staff may take action to ease symptoms sooner.
However. If you do suffer a bad sunburn in a sensitive area, the proper way to request treatment is not to drop your pants and grin in the middle exam room, then request a "laying on of hands." Not only will you not be healed, you're likely to walk away in need of other medical aid.
Thank you. That's all.

I want to pass on a warning--hopefully it's nothing serious, but one of the tree's large squirrels has been sighted roaming the residential areas, apparently looking for food. I caught a glimpse of it in Section 3, and one of today's patients from Section 4 reported a sighting as well. I'm not sure about the other areas. The patient was in for unrelated issues; the squirrel hasn't shown any aggression so far, but it's best to be cautious.
Those who have pets might want to make extra-sure they don't get outside. KC saw it through the window and he must have thought it was some kind of giant cat, there to challenge his domain. He puffed up so much he looked like a giant furry orange.

It seems I owe everyone an apology. The frozen journals earlier were my fault. I had a mishap while training, and I didn't realize it had affected everyone else until I returned home.
I suppose it does make sense, though. Has anyone ever performed experiments to determine how the journals affect one another? Hmm.
In any case, I'm sorry--it won't happen again.

I have a question for the fighters here, especially those who have remembered a little about their pasts. Have any of you experienced a degree of sentience from your weapons? Of any kind. I'm trying to figure out how common--or uncommon--something is. It's not a matter of huge import, but any information you can share is appreciated.
Kiba, I traded shifts with one of the other medics; his girlfriend's birthday is tonight, so I said I'd work the evening shift. So don't worry about me if I'm back late.
[At the bottom of the entry is a tiny drawing of two bunnies holding hands. If one squints, their hair might look familiar.]
I had fun the other night.

Since we're back in the tree and somehow forced into pajamas, remember that the marketplace is back open as well. There are a couple of stalls selling slippers since some people's shoes seem to have gone as well. I like mine. Pants and a shirt are still easy to move around in and they're cute, too. I hope I can keep them.
I'm no longer in search of a memory crystal; thank you, those who offered help. And thank you, Bastet. I just hope this tells me what I want to know. I'm saving it until we get things fixed up here.
